Jeev Milkha Singh was born on December 15th, 1971 in a family of sportsmen.

Being the son of famous athletes Jeev Milkha Singh was drawn to sports from childhood. As a teenager, he went to a golf club nearby. He competed with friends and precisely then the first notes of excitement and competitiveness began to appear. Gradually turning a hobby into a job, he became a famous master in golf. Carried away by his favorite business he won tournament after tournament. He even got the Padma Shri Award – the variation of knighthood created by the authority of India to reward individuals for achieveents in various fields in 2007.

It is very symbolic that this happened almost 50 years after his father received a similar honor. It should be noted that the player’s ambitions did not allow him to stop there. He also continues to take part in competitions, reaching new heights. The key to his successful golf career can be described by his quote “winning doesn’t come cheaply … you have to pay a big price.” That’s because he knows perfectly well how much effort it takes to win.

Biography of the most victorious golfer of India

Golfer studied at the Bishop Cotton School in Shimla. He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1996 with a degree in such fields as business and administration. Singh began to take part in many amateur matches in the United States, and at that time he received his first victory. In 1993 Jeev Milkha became the winner of the NCAA Division II Individual Golf Championship. Later this year he got his first professional win at the Oklahoma State Open in South.

For the next couple of years, he took part in golf competitions throughout Asia. In 1997 golfer won a coveted card at a qualifying school becoming the first golfer from India to qualify for the European Tour the following year.

After a significant break due to injury, he returned and gain the Volvo China Open 2006 golf championship. This made him the second Indian-born golfer winner of the European Tour.

Additionally, in 2006 the athlete get the Order of Merit for the Asian Tour. Moreover, he was the first golfer from India who took part in the Masters Tournament in 2007.

Jeev Milkha was the first Indian ranked in all majors of PGA Championship competitions in Oakland Hills in 2008. He also earned the T9 position, proclaiming him the best Indian golfer of all time. Another important event that year for the linksman was the wedding on Kudrat. Jeev Milkha Singh participated in the PGA Tour from 2007 to 2010, gaining 4th place at the 2009 WGC-CA Championship.

With his fourth career win on the European Tour, he became the most successful Indian-born golfer in European Tour history. The golfer continued to win at the highest level in 2012 taking the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open title. А solid 2012 season saw him finish 32nd in The Race to Dubai.

The 2021 season began for Jeev Milkha Singh with bad events because his parents died due to the pandemic. The whole golf year was marked by only three events.
