Golfer, designated as “newcomer to note”, from an early age was taught to golf. The relative of sportsman Dr. Tushar Lahiri was a fan of this sport, so he took the child as a company on the fields. Natural-born golf player

The native city of the future golfer is Pune. Anirban Lahiri inherited a love of golf from his close relative. Already at the age of eight, he attended a golf club and at 11 he participated in his first golf competition in Calcutta. The first significant victory was in 2005 at the Asian Junior Team Championship. He relocated to Bangalore to become an apprentice under Vijay Dhivehi. Anirban Lahiri won some victories in national amateur competitions in 2006 and even succeeded in the city of Doha as a participant in the Asian Games.

The first tour he took part in was the Asian one in 2008. After that in India, he got triumphant on Professional Golf Tour. In 2009 previous event brought him successful eleven competitions and the Order of Merit.

His first significant victory was the Panasonic Open in 2011 and in the following year the qualification for his first vital competition the SAIL-SBI Open.

Two wins on the 2014 Asia Tour helped him secure a top rank on the Order of Merit and his first ever Top 100 in the OWGR.

In 2015 Anirban Lahiri scored two victories on the European tour, one of which was the first at a similar event. This success placed Lahiri in the top 50 of the OWGR, allowing him to compete in the Masters Tournament.

On the tour named PGA Lahiri finished fifth and reach a peak as a professional golfer from India who got the highest score. Lahiri competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics. During 2016-2018, he successfully participated in PGA Tours. However, in 2019, he ran into trouble in the season and that led to the loss of the PGA Tour access.

In 2020, the golfer got his card back on the PGA Tour. The sportsman has played less than 15 times due to the pandemic. The rest of the competition has been rescheduled for next year. Golfers who competed in 2020 on the PGA Tour season are automatically qualified for the 2021 season. After a well-played period, the player took 118th place in the FedEx Cup. Anirban Lahiri his efforts were rewarded with access to the competitions in PGA in 2022.
