The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25th May 2018, replacing the existing data protection framework under the EU Data Protection Directive.  This regulation very significantly increases the obligations and responsibilities of all organisations and business in how they collect, use and protect personal data.

It is important that each Golf Club is fully transparent about how they are using and safeguarding personal data and can demonstrate accountability for their data processing activities.

General information relating to Data Protection and GDPR is available on the Data Protection Commissioners website: or the Information Commissioners Office website:

Golf Specific GDPR Workshops

Over 100 Golf Clubs attended our Golf Specific GDPR Workshop Roadshow.  Each club was given a full overview of the new legislation, received specific guidance, free examples and guides and was given the opportunity to ask questions to an industry expert from the National Golf Club Advisory Association.

Please Note:  Clubs should seek advice from the relevant Data Protection organisations and/or seek legal advice.  Email: for GDPR templates.
