Meet Pat Finlen General Manager The Olympic Club San Francisco. Pat has been in the Club business since 1983. He was a golf course superintendent in Kansas City, Virginia Beach, VA, & Seaside, CA, from 1984-2001. From 2002 – 2013 he was the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations at The Olympic Club in San Francisco. In 2013 Pat was the Director of Golf for 6 months before becoming General Manager later that year. In those positions, the Club hosted the 2004 U.S. Junior, the 2007 U.S. Amateur, the 2012 U.S. Open, and the 2015 U.S. Four Ball.
The Club will host the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open, the 2025 U.S. Amateur, the 2028 PGA, and the 2032 Ryder Cup
Pat was also on the Board of Directors of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America from 2006 to 2014 and, served as their President in 2013. He has also spoken throughout the United States and in Europe and Asia.
This is an opportunity to hear the story of one of manager of one of Americas top golf clubs.
Bill Sanderson will also be delivering a time management Seminar that morning which promises to be a great session.

12 noon – Pat Finlen GM The Olympic Club
1.30pm – 2 Course Lunch served in the dining room
Please note this session is open to managers, greenkeepers, course convenors and any golf club staff.
