Redmond O’Donoghue has been closely associated with Irish business for over forty years. He worked in various senior sales and marketing roles with the Ford Motor Company in Ireland, Britain and Spain. After 17 years with Ford, he joined Waterford Crystal as Sales and Marketing Director in 1985. During the following 20 years, he rose to become, first, Chief Executive of Waterford Crystal and then took over as Chief Executive Officer of the worldwide Waterford Wedgwood Group. He retired from executive life in 2005.
In addition to his executive roles, Mr. O’Donoghue has, over the years, been a non-executive director of Greencore plc, Chairman of Bord Failte and Chairman of Failte Ireland ( 2008-2013 ). Additionally, Mr. O’Donoghue has served as Chairman of the Marketing Institute of Ireland, President of IBEC ( the Irish Business Employers Confederation ) in the south east and was a member of the National Executive of IBEC, for many years. Between 2003 and 2011, he was Chairman of Waterford Institute of Technology.
